Description
I'm currently teaching myself to draw portraits. So this drawing is experimental. I do not sca tbis, because my scanner is too big for the paper.
The technique i used to draw this is sucky actually, and i hate to admit it. I zoomed the reference picture as ig as possible, so my drawing probably had the exact same size with the reference. And i made another portrait as a reference because i can't see the shapes of the eyes well in the photo.
I'm sorry about the half-cheating thechnique (i think...) please don't hate me because i did this T_T

This is pretty good for an experimental drawing. My first portraits sucked against this and after 4 years of training and traning I still can't draw hair as good shaded as on this.
Don't worry about "cheating". It is not. Portrait drawing is a lot of using those little "cheats". Those photorealistic portrait artist out there for example lay a grid upon their reference picture and use a really huge canvas to transport it there as exact as possible. Box for box.
Well this is bringing my interest in training my portrait abillities back
